About Us Ilsaluntë Valion is a group of Venturers devoted to gnostically exploring the Legendarium.

In registering this account on the IV board, I certify that I have read THE CHARTER and the BOARD RULES and I understand that Ilsaluntė Valion is not:

- a 'Tolkienist' board that discusses the literary merits of his books  {that would be Barrowdowns}
- nor discusses scenes from the Peter Jackson movies                           {that would be TheOneRing.net}
- nor is it a 'gaming' group

Rather, Ilsaluntė Valion is an organization of people that views Tolkien's works as elements of a mytho-history (i.e., the history of the world at a mythical time) and which is strongly interlinked with the spirituality intrinsic to the Legendarium. I understand that all of the discussions on this board will be coming from this point of view, and that I am interested in this worldview and willing to participate in the discussions.

I also agree that if I am no longer interested, I will send a PM (private message) to the Admin (Aikanar) and let him know.

For Ilsaluntė Valion, this comes down to what is considered as such in general; i.e., nothing  defamatory, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening etc.
In addition to that:

No: Eru, Ilśvatar, names of the Valar, Valier, Maiar, Istari and other divine beings in Tolkien's Mythos that are not of Arda / Eä;
Yes: names containing the above - like child of Yavanna (whether in elvish or mannish tongues) - are fine;
Yes: A Legendarium name is fine, -
No: - as long as it does not claim to be (an incarnation of-) an actual Legendarium character.
