Out of a timeless world   Shadows fall upon Time
From a beauty older than Earth   A ladder the soul may climb
I climb by the phantom stair   To a whiteness older than Time...

About Us Ilsaluntë Valion is a group of Venturers devoted to gnostically exploring the Legendarium.

We made cookies...

These are for Isilsulime.  This is the first time Rowan and I attempted this.  I used a Jiffy sugar cookie mix.  I bought the dragonfly cookie cutter from the grocery store.  There's a post on here somewhere about why I connect dragonflies to Lord Manwe, even though they are not seen here until well after Isilsulime.

If I uploaded these pictures right, from top to bottom you'll see ~ all the cookies, a close up of the broken dragonflies that came out looking like 2 soaring birds and a moth, the feather shaped ones ~ which were the most fun to do, hands down, and the ones with the Cirth and Tengwar symbols for Quesse (feather) and Hwesta (breeze).  The dragonflies were drizzled with honey before going in the oven, (by request from Rowan) and that turned out better than expected.

Agreed, a wonderful idea!  Baking "theme" cookies is yet another way to 'live' the path we follow.

Thanks to you both ~  :)

This was the first time I actually baked some 'theme cookies' for a ritual, and it was quite fun.  The chance finding of the dragonfly cookie cutter shortly before Isilsulime is what made it a definite part of our ritual feast.
