Re: pictures for the ROTR

After I wrote my response to you, I showed my hubby Ray your art - he loves your vision of Alqualondë and in fact liked the darker version better as well. I mentioned to him you were not entirely finished with the 2nd rendering and I can see how you would want to layer more color in that piece. The ...

Re: pictures for the ROTR

My GOD(s) (Valar?) Luthien!! These are just stunning! You have such a depth of vision for landscapes, and wondered if you have thought about a Deviant Art profile yet haha! They even have sub-groups with Tolkien's works, and I every now and again peruse the art there. While I like the darker tones o...

Re: Blessed Realm mural

Indeed, I can see how this would be a soothing influence Eruannlass, but having the detail to explain it is really cool! As for your noisy neighbor, make an energetic "wall" with an imaginary mirror on his side to reflect back ALL of his stuff right back where it belongs - on him! You won't believe ...

Re: Blessed Realm mural

What a beautiful spiritual creation Eruannlass! :-) I was thinking like Ellenar, perhaps it would be hard to get sleep - but then it might be easier to sleep in peace with all that beauty around too! I often do my best spiritual work while I am asleep so maybe it is a great idea to have a "painted a...

I, too, just love how this has developed, with more detail! It is a beautiful vision of Nienna's halls, really!

Wow, you made this on a train? I am impressed! :-) Of course this is coming from someone who cannot draw so well hehe! I do better with a crochet hook ;-) Thanks for sharing, this is a great rendition!!

Dave - I absolutely HATE those lights too! In fact I think they are deliberately disorienting, but that is an entirely different topic and I won't get started!

Re: Tikal- The Mystic Metal Of Aule

This is a great topic - how did I miss it?  Speaking as an Astrologer (whom in the olde days I would have also had Alchemical training), except for Mercury, all of these metals are assigned rulership of the planets up to Saturn - and the lights (Sun and Moon). Gold - Sun (Leo) Silver - Moon (Cancer)...

Re: Music that 'takes me closer to the legendarium'

AH, well on the rock music front, some of us old-school "metalheads" (hehe) really like much of what is coming out of Europe - the USA's mainstream right now doesn't even have a clue.  We like things ranging from Lacuna Coil (actually pretty popular in USA) to Nightwish Sirenia, Unsun, and beyond.  ...

Re: Music that 'takes me closer to the legendarium'

While I haven't heard the actual music spoken of, the lyrics bring quite a bit to our attention for sure!  Yes, the Atlantis/Numenor parallel does echo here.  I believe you are onto something describing the Human gift of Freedom being the very best part of ourselves - and yet, most of us can use thi...

Niennildi, I do not know how I missed this - I totally see what you mean by Page 19!  I also like the one that has a 7-pointed StarFlower in the middle with what appears to be roses in between the petals on their way outward - beautiful!

Re: Still video collage on the Song of Beren and Lúthien

Oh I ought to explain what I mean when I said "away" hehehe!  What I meant was that it has been awhile since I read those gorgeous stories (I have been reading lots of other things though).  I remembered her "springtime" like energies much - but I didn't remember the other energies mentioned as much...
