The Sun and the Shore
Words by Rowan Elensir

As the sun rises gently in the fair east,
I shall come to your door,
call your name.  “Walk with me.”
And you’ll take up my hand,
and we’ll walk upon the shore.
And we’ll sing of the times that have gone on before.

As the sun passes slowly from the sky in the west,
We shall lay on the sand
as the waves ebb and crest.
As the cries of the sea birds
stir our love for these shores,
we will sing of the ships that have passed before.

As the moon rises slowly above the night tide.
We’ll return to your home,
hand in hand, side by side.
I will hold you and kiss you,
while waves caress the shore.
As I have in the times that have gone on before.

Here's the scene - I'm sitting at the computer, listening to relaxing Celtic music, reading 'Beren and Luthien', braiding my new bracelet cord, and enjoying the connection Rowan and I have.  He tells me he likes the instrumental song that starts playing, and begins singing.  The words just flowed.  Halfway through the second verse(which became the third), I began writing them down.  I will attach the music file later, I thought I had it on the portable drive, but I must've spaced it...
I Aear cân ven na mar ~ 'The Sea calls us Home.'

For whatever we lose (like a you or a me)
it's always ourselves we find in the sea
