Dave sent over the link to this design. As I was looking at it, I was struck by how appropriate it was as a symbol for one whom walks our path. I think that it would make an awesome tattoo design. I'm actually considering this option myself.

Suilad Ellenar,
This is pretty cool. I've been wanting to get inked for years, it comes down to money and the fact that I keep changing my mind about what I want...Thanks for posting it.

Same here. However, I believe that my time is coming soon, as I am totally leaning toward the Celtic Compass Rose. (I always said that if I got a tattoo, it would be something that carries resonance with my most intimate self.) What's also cool is that this design would be great for jewelry, or as a sewing pattern for an altar cloth graphic.

Oooh...
Altar cloth graphic...Eruannlass' embroidery blood just got pumping with that statement...time to invest in a fabric marker pen...or a washable marker at least...

You don't need to invest in anything really. If you are working on dark fabric, an old sliver of soap makes a nice line and washes out. On light fabrics, if you have some of the colored soaps, sometimes those soaps will leave enough of a mark to see. If you handle the fabric a lot where you are working, the soap can wear away though. This tip works better for sewing than long, complex embroidery projects.

That's a good tip, Niennildi. Hannon le. Since the cloth will get handled a lot, I might ghost in the lines with a pencil and go over it with the soap, so that I can see the design better...
