Absolutely beautiful, Luthien Athariel. (clapping as thunderously as one person can)
Just call me Dineen.

Suilad gwathel nin,
Very nice indeed. I didn't even know there was a Tolkien Ensemble - but I love the way the 'Lay' was turned into a song. Nice arrangement of the artwork to coincide with what was being sung.
You're very talented, and thanks for sharing that with us.

le hannon *bows*
actually - it is funny how I came about to make this one. I was trying to explain to someone on the add forum why Sindarin is so important to me (I sometimes use a phrase in my signature line or post a poem). She clearly did not understand at all why someone would go through all that trouble to master what most consider a 'non-existing' language (although she was not teasing me or anything .. she's ok) and wrote her a personal message in which I explained her a bit about my love for the Legendarium, the Eldar and Tinúviel.
She seemed to be very touched by that and I then wanted to paste the poem (the lyrics of this song) in a reply but thought that it might be nice to add that song to it so I thought of making a video of the text of the poem with the song underneath it.
But then I started to do just that .. trying to do that 'quickly' ... and of course, then I started thinking ... hey, wouldn't it be nice to add some appropriate images to it ... and when I got those together (i had downloaded some over time when I stumbled across them) it was like ... hey, maybe I should not "just" put them in here but make it coincide a bit with the story of the song/poem .. but then, I need some other images because there are never enough to cover the first half .. but maybe - I could use this one hmmm....
- etcetera.
And then I got it into my head to add subtitles. Sung lyrics are not always easy to understand, especially for non-english speakers. So I tried to add titles from within iMovie (the mac movie editing program that comes free with the computer) but it is really hard to keep them the same size from scene to scene (it sizes automatically depending how long the line of text is) so then I tried it in this fancy movie editing program that I had never worked with before ... spent a couple of annoying hours trying to understand how that worked without having to read through a 500 page manual ... failed, and eventually saw that Youtube offers the possibility to subtitle the video's after uploading.
So I did that.

OMG this is INCREDIBLE!!! Well-done, it is so awesome! Wow, I am "away" for a time of studying Luthien's energy and didn't realize how much it resonates with the Autumn/Winter and what could be considered more "shadowy" plant and light resonations - ENCHANTING, truly!!!

thank you

I wondered .. what you meant with "away"?Calantirniel wrote:Wow, I am "away" for a time of studying Luthien's energy [...]
I'm asking because I am just discovering all this "in" here ...
I feel two sides to her "energy". One being the power to enchant, to create silence, slumber .. like her motherCalantirniel wrote:[...] and didn't realize how much it resonates with the Autumn/Winter and what could be considered more "shadowy" plant and light resonations [...]

The other one is the pure creative "spring" power that cures the winter, lets flowers blossom up, ice melt, leaves unfold.
I mean, like, totallyCalantirniel wrote:[...] ENCHANTING, truly!!!

Oh I ought to explain what I mean when I said "away" hehehe! What I meant was that it has been awhile since I read those gorgeous stories (I have been reading lots of other things though). I remembered her "springtime" like energies much - but I didn't remember the other energies mentioned as much, and your video brought that to the forefront for me!
