He wrote this pretty much as it happened. May 21st marks the beginning of a new season for the Eldar, and the changes are often like this up here. He wrote the title, and worked the words until it naturally concluded the poem. It's a very intuitive piece, and hopeful.
Hidden sun, drifting cloud ~
heavy, black with rain.
They look like islands,
drifting out, free above the Sea.
They billow like sails, they drift like ships.
Pushed forth by the warming wind.
The rain now falls, as ballast tossed
lands cold upon my skin.
Circles ripple where droplets fall,
on water moving yet still.
'Tis sound where they meet,
like that of streams,
in meadows where they flow.
To hear it here, on this shore so vast,
is a wonder ~ plain and true.
The wind, it strengthens, the black clouds pass ~
and white ones follow and part,
I glimpse a bit of blue.
The wind is wild, the waves ~ they swell,
the willow creaks and groans.
The errant rains will soon fall hard,
'tis the coming of the storm.
